The group, minus Brian in front of the HCJB guest house in Quito.
The group with the chef, again minus Brian, at a Mexican restaurant in Quito.

This is a blurry picture of our plane in the Amazon taken from the other plane as it landed. :)
Not the most flattering picture of me (Kristine) but this was taken after they painted my face.

Dear Friends and Family,

Sorry it took us so long to send out an update.
We’ve decided to send out the prayer letters quarterly
and small e-mails with new prayer updates. To give
you a quick recap in case you forgot, we are prayerfully
moving forward with our preparation to join
MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship, www.maf.org). Above are some pictures we took while we were in Ecuador:

Here’s what’s been going on in our lives these past few months:
Kristine still is searching for either a full-time or
part time teaching job in Oregon or Vancouver, WA.
Currently she is substitute teaching for the Salem-
Keizer school district. She finished her Christian Mission’s
class and took out an extension on her Old
Testament Survey class. These classes are correspondence
courses through Moody Bible Institute in Chicago.

Eric’s plans have changed a bit since the last
prayer letter. In December he spoke with his boss
and it turns out that his work won’t let him work part-time
while he does the A&P program at Portland
Community College in Hillsboro. Because of this, and
the fact that Kristine doesn’t have a full time job with
benefits yet, he has moved his college start time to
September 2008. By that time Kristine should have a
full-time teaching job and he should be able to focus
on school full time without worrying about work.

In the mean time, Eric will be finishing up his
Moody correspondence bible courses and his instrument,
commercial and perhaps even his flight instructor
rating. So far Eric has passed the written test for
his commercial pilot rating and is almost finished
with the flying requirement for that rating but needs good weather to do it!

Here are things we would love for you to pray for this next month:
⇒ Good weather so Eric can complete his commercial
rating.
⇒ Eric to finish his Elements of Bible study class
⇒ Kristine to find a teaching job either in Oregon
or
Vancouver, WA.
⇒ Eric and Kristine to start working on their Old
Testament Survey class.

Thank you again for partnering with us in prayer
about our lives and future ministry. We really appreciate
it! If you have any questions please feel free to
call us (503-566-6852) or e-mail us
(ericandkristinereed@gmail.com).

Love,
Eric and Kristine Reed
